The regions and directorates of the central region of Abyan governorate are witnessing a major deterioration and unprecedented insecurity, the return of terrorism and the spread of armed terrorist groups in the region’s directorates again, in light of the Brotherhood’s militias’ control over those areas.

 The operations of terrorism and acts of interruption and enmity have recently increased for travelers and citizens in the districts, including Al-Mahfad, Al-Wadaya, Mudiyah, Lawdar, Ahwar, Maqquz and Amridah, while the activities of the Brotherhood’s militias in those areas are limited to collecting levies, the last of which was the kidnapping of United Nations employees with two groups who were accompanying them today in the Khedira area, west of Mudiyah district.  Without moving any residents of the military forces affiliated with the Brotherhood that control the region to pursue and control these terrorist elements.

 Citizens of the central region complained that the military forces and units that are subject to the Brotherhood militia did not perform their duty and role in pursuing and controlling these terrorist elements.

 They pointed out: that these terrorist forces and elements are releasing and frolicking in the regions and directorates in the central region and carry out their operations simply without any deterrent and are seized by the Brotherhood militias that control the region.

 They added: These terrorist groups and elements that are out of law and order pass unnoticed at the Brotherhood's military points and even settle next to their camps, while at the same time turning a blind eye to their actions and their threats to social peace.

 The citizens pointed out that the security belt in the directorates of the central region had a pivotal role in eliminating terrorism and imposing security and stability in the regions, until the Brotherhood militia came from several regions in the north of Yemen in what became known as the invasion of 2019, and the role of the belt in those regions was limited and fought,  For terrorist elements to become active again, and to carry out their criminal operations in broad daylight, the first of which is against the security belt, which fought them until it rid the regions of their evil, and they returned with the Brotherhood to take revenge on it.

 At the end of their appeal, he called on the citizens to enter the southern armed forces into their areas and purify them of the elements of terrorism, which have become an imminent danger to them and to travelers and passers-by.
