A delegation from the Southern Transitional Council holds consultations with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations

 A delegation from the Southern Transitional Council consisting of Amr Al-Beidh, the President's Special Representative for Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Al-Ghaithi, Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, and Anis Al-Sharafi, Head of the Political Affairs and Planning Department of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, met today, Monday, with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, His Excellency Hans Grundberg,  His deputy, Moeen Shreim, and his special work team are among the consultations that the envoy is conducting with the political parties in the Jordanian capital, Amman, to prepare a general framework for the negotiations of the comprehensive political process.
 During the meeting, they discussed the priorities of the political process, where the delegation of the Southern Transitional Council stressed the need to develop a special framework to address the issue of the state of the south within the negotiations of the comprehensive political process sponsored by the United Nations, and the importance of starting consultations without any preconditions, as indicated by the UN Security Council resolution  The last 2624.
 The delegation stressed that the economic and humanitarian situation is a priority that requires serious treatments, and the concerted efforts of all local, regional and international efforts to get out of the current economic crisis, the effects of which are being suffered by citizens in all parts of the south and Yemen alike.
 The consultations dealt with a number of urgent issues, during which the delegation discussed ways to solve these issues in a way that embodies the reality of the demands of the people of the south, their national cause and their political future.
