Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, chaired, today, Tuesday, an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the capital, Aden.
In the meeting, which was attended by Brigadier General Kamal Hamshary, Director of the Office of the President of the Council, and Professor Ahmed Al-Rubaizi, a member of the negotiating team, Al-Khubaji conveyed to the attendees the greetings of President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, and his constant eagerness to hold the meeting of the Commission, reviewing the results of the consultations conducted by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi. And the negotiating team recently with the brothers in the Arab coalition countries and the ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries, stressing that the talks were fruitful and constructive, and served the cause of the south.
Al-Khubaji stressed the need to exert more efforts and get closer to the citizens and their suffering, mobilize energies and redouble efforts in various issues, as well as confront conspiracies and plots targeting the leadership of the Council and its bodies, in order to frustrate the mass forces, to divert them from their strategic goal for our people of liberation, independence and restoration of the southern state with full sovereignty.
In the meeting, which was attended by the acting chief executive officer of the transitional capital of Aden, Mr. Essam Abdo Ali, Dr. Al-Khubaji indicated the council’s leadership’s keenness to complete the implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, praising in the context the positive role played by the Arab coalition countries and their continuous and tireless efforts to bring the views closer to complete the agreement and remove it. The meeting discussed the priorities of the political process, as Al-Khubaji stressed that the Southern Transitional Council, in its meetings with the UN envoy, stressed the need to develop a special framework to address the issue of the south within the negotiations of the comprehensive political process sponsored by the United Nations, and the importance of starting consultations without any preconditions, and also stressed the need to set Serious and quick solutions to get out of the current economic crisis, the effects of which are being suffered by citizens throughout the south.
