President Commander Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice president of the Presidential Leadership Council, met on Sunday, August 28, in his office at the Council's headquarters in the capital Aden, Dr. Saeed Al-Shamassi, Minister of Oil and Minerals.

The President was briefed by the Minister of Oil and Minerals on the work progress of the ministry, and the efforts made by it to stabilize the ration situation in the local market, and to organize the import process of oil derivatives and fuel allocated to power plants which are operating with diesel , to ensure their availability in sufficient quantities to ensure the continuity of the work of the stations and don't let it stop .

The President Commander also listened to Dr. Al-Shamassi on a brief explanation of the ministry's activities with regard to oil and gas investments in Hadhramout and Shabwa governorates, and the ministry's future plans to expand its activity in the aspect of the geological survey, which would contribute to supporting exploration and determining the location of reserves and their availability .

The President Commander praised the great efforts exerted by the Ministry of Oil to maintain supply stability and prevent bottlenecks in the local market, stressing in this context the need to redouble efforts, develop working methods and intensify control processes, and coordinate with the relevant authorities to provide studies and visions of strategic projects that can be applied on the ground, in order to ensure the restoration of the oil sectors Exploitation of economic resources in an optimal way, which will be reflected positively on the services provided to citizens .

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of opening up to foreign capital, providing an attractive environment for it to invest in the field of exploration  for oil and minerals, and benefit from its expertise in developing production processes, developing obsolete fields, and producing electricity with natural gas.

For his part, Dr. Al-Shamassi expressed his thanks and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for his interest in the oil and mineral sector, and his constant keenness to solve any problems that hinder the work of the ministry, stressing that all employees of this sector will spare no effort in continuing giving to promote the economic and service sectors.
