Six members of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda were killed while confronting an armed terrorist attack launched by those elements on a security post belonging to the Security Belt Forces in the Directorate of Ahwar in Abyan Governorate.

A source in the Security Belt in Abyen said that the attack took place at dawn on Tuesday, September 6, on one of the security  Checkpoints in the Muqateen area which located on the international line between  Saeed Fort and the city of Ahwar, snd as a result, the commander of the 1st Battalion in the 1st Anti-Terror Brigade, "Yasser Nasser Shaye'" "Abu Shaye'", was killed along with a number of his companions, and a number the security Checkpoints members were wounded.

The Security Belt Forces were able to capture a number of  the organization elements and seize two armed cars, while the running elements  were pursued to the mountains surrounding the area .
