The spokesman of the Southern Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Al-Naqeeb, confirmed that the southern armed forces continue in their role in carrying out the security tasks assigned to them within the framework of the Operation Arrows of the East to pursue terrorist elements of Al-Qaeda and Ansar al-Sharia, rub their dens and dismantle their cells .

"The treacherous terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint in the directorate of Ahwar in Abyan governorate at dawn today, is an evidence of the magnitude of the painful strikes carried out by our forces against the terrorist organizations and their elements," Al-Naqeeb added .

Our battle with terrorism in all its forms continues and relentlessly in pursuing those terrorist elements wherever they exist and along our southern national territory, which is a fateful, existential, and costly battle at the same time, and its victories are in fact a success of the international battle against terrorism, and therefore it require, and even incumbent the gathering of  the local, regional, and international efforts with the Southern armed forces .

Mercy and immortality for the souls of our heroic martyrs who managed to eliminate all terrorist elements that has attacked them  in a legendary saga like no other.
