The Department of the Social Affairs of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Tuesday, September 6, the second consultative meeting of the directors of social affairs departments in the executive bodies of the local leaders of the Council in the southern governorates, in the presence of Mr. Fadl Mohammed Al-Jaadi, Member of the Presidency and Deputy Secretary-General.

At the beginning of the meeting, the attendees stood a minute of mourning for the soul of the late Fatima Al-Tamimi, Director of the Social Affairs Department in Hadhramout Governorate .

The Deputy Secretary-General delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and conveyed to them the greetings of President Aidarous Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, stressing the importance of community work in the governorates and the implementation of activities that help create mental mobility among members of society.

In the context of his speech, Al-Jaadi pointed out that the military victories achieved by the southern armed forces led by Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces in Shabwa Governorate, are against the rebel militias, as well as the victories achieved in Abyan,  and the primacy of reason in favor of the Southern rank unity .

At the end of his speech, Al-Jaadi hoped that this meeting would come out with constructive recommendations, which would contribute to raising the level of social activity in the southern governorates.

For his part, Mr. Ad Mohamed Ali Haitham, Chairman of the Social Affairs Department, delivered a speech in which he pointed out that the Department is keen to overcome any obstacles facing the work of the departments in the governorates to improve and develop the level of performance in them .

Haitham praised the performance of the departments in local bodies in the southern governorates and the role they play in their governorates to develop social work and help the needy groups, explaining that the department will be launched tomorrow, on Wednesday, a training course for directors of departments in order to raise the level of administrative work .

During the meeting, they discussed many issues and problems facing the departments in the governorates and the development of treatments that will be contributing to strengthening and raising the level of administrative and organizational work.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Abdul Hamid Abu Taleb, Director of the Social Affairs Department  in Al-Dhalea Governorate, was honored due to the activity of his administration as the best department among the rest of the governorate administrations.
