Al-Kathiri and Al-Beidh meet the ambassadors of the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany to Yemen

Members of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Ali Al Kathiri, the official spokesman of the Transitional Council, Deputy Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit in the Transitional Council, and Mr. Amr Al-Beidh, representative of the President of the Transitional Council for Foreign Affairs, met on Tuesday, September 27, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi with the European Union ambassador to Yemen, Mr. Gabriel Munwera Vinalis, and Mr. Hubert Jaeger, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Yemen.
The meeting has reviewed the latest developments in the south and Yemen in general in light of the international efforts exerted to reach a final solution to the conflict and to reach a settlement that guarantees sustainable peace and security for the district and the region.
In the meeting, Al Kathiri and Al-Beidh affirmed the Southern Transitional Council's support for the declared armistice because of its importance in addressing the economic conditions and alleviating the suffering of the people, stressing the need to find solutions to the humanitarian situation and provide basic services to citizens.
In the meeting, the two members of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council stressed the importance of the cohesion of the Presidential Leadership Council, stressing at the same time the need to withdraw the Yemeni military forces present in Hadhramout Valley to the front lines with the Houthi militia in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement to pave the way for the security forces to carry out their duty to combat terrorism in a manner required.
For their part, Ambassadors Munwera and Jaeger stressed the importance of the internal unity of the Presidential Leadership Council, stressing their support for the efforts of the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen to end the war and reach a final and comprehensive political solution to the crisis.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Philip Schönbrunn-Nabmann, Deputy Head of the Middle East Unit at the German Foreign Ministry, and members of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, Nabil Benlaassem, and Abdullah Awad.
