President Al-Zubaidi meets the Australian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen

President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy Head of the Presidential Leadership Council, met at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, His Excellency Mark Donovan, the Australia's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen, and the military attaché at the embassy, ​​Colonel Bradley Vizard.
The meeting has discussed the efforts of the United Nations and the regional and international communities to extend the UN truce, the Houthi position refusing to extend it, and the developments in the political and military situation in light of the Houthi militia’s violations and its provocative military mobilization on a number of frontlines.
In this regard, President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the hands of the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, and the presidency of the Presidential Leadership Council, were, are, and will continue to be extended for peace, and welcomes any international initiatives to extend the truce, provided that the Houthi militias abide by their commitments, stressing that the militias resorted to threats to cover their failure and inability, and in an attempt to salvage its collapsed status in light of popular discontent rejecting its presence in all governorates.
The meeting has discussed possible ways to support the Presidential Leadership Council and the parity government and the efforts made by the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Hans Grundberg, to end the war and bring peace to the region.
The meeting has also reviewed ways to support the parity government to deal with the crisis of illegal immigrants from the Horn of Africa, and its repercussions on the humanitarian situation in the liberated governorates, by strengthening joint cooperation with the United Nations organizations specialized in migrant affairs.
The meeting has touched upon Iran's role in undermining peace in the region, and its persistence in supporting the Houthi militias with weapons and military equipment, and experts in the manufacture of missiles and drones, in addition to the Houthi militia's relations with the Lebanese Hezbollah.
For his part, the Australian ambassador affirmed his country's support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the parity government, as well as the efforts of the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to bring peace to the region.
