President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, confirmed that the Presidential Leadership Council made many concessions in order to preserve peace opportunities, while the Houthi militias continued their intransigence and rejection of all regional and international initiatives to stop the war and establish peace.
The President stressed, during his meeting today, Tuesday, October 4, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Yemen, Hubert Joseph Jaeger, that it is time to stop the arrogance of these militias, to expose them and put an end to their provocative behavior.
During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi reiterated his demand for the regional and international communities to take a firm position on the new escalation of the Houthi militias after their rejection of the initiatives to extend the truce, stressing that the militias continue to mobilize and clash on a number of frontlines, which confirms their ill intentions and their tendency towards escalation.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany affirmed his country’s position in support of extending the truce and supporting the efforts of the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to reach a comprehensive political settlement, as well as the commitment of his country’s government to support the Presidential Leadership Council as the sole legitimate authority internationally recognized, and its support for the parity government to restore the situation and revive Economy.
