On Thursday, in the capital Aden, the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council's Presidium honored the Moroccan journalist Dr. Tawfiq Jazoulit, thanking him and expressing appreciation for his support of the cause of the southern people.
During the ceremony, Fadl Mohammed Al-Jaadi, a member of the Council's Presidium and the Secretary-General, praised the significant role played by the Moroccan journalist in covering the occupation war in the south in the summer of 1994. He added that Jazoulit worked professionally to document all the crimes and violations committed against the people of the south during that war.
Al-Jaadi presented a commemorative shield to the journalist Tawfiq Jazoulit in recognition of his continuous and persevering efforts to support the cause of the southern people and raise awareness about it in regional and international media and public opinion.
For his part, Jazoulit expressed his pride and gratitude for this honor, emphasizing the importance of the new phase that requires effort and cooperation from everyone. He also mentioned the important observations he gathered since his arrival in the capital Aden and his visits to various provinces in the south.
The ceremony was attended by Abdo Ali Al-Naqeeb, Assistant Secretary-General, and Lotfi Shatara, President of the Research and Decision-Making Center, as well as a number of heads of departments in the General Secretariat.
