A responsible source at the Tax Authority in the capital Aden confirmed that the rumors and claims broadcast by some social media platforms, some websites and newspapers about the non-compliance of the management of the National Tobacco Company Kamran and which promote the non-payment by the company's management of the tax fees due to the state, are untrue.

He pointed out that the company's management is committed to tax declarations on a regular basis and supports the state's budget, whether through taxes, duties, or profits, as the company is state-owned to a large extent.

The source also noted that this media campaign directed at the National Tobacco Company (Kamran) comes after the Tax Authority carried out a number of campaigns to prevent smuggled cigarettes from entering the liberated governorates in cooperation with various security agencies and the security belt in the capital Aden, and the smuggled cigarettes, especially those subject to the Houthi terrorist militias, which benefit from their taxes and revenues in their criminal war effort against the people, have been reduced.

The source called on the local media, newspapers and websites to be cautious, obtain information from its sources and not to slide into rumors and Houthi media kitchens or narrow interests, unintentionally.
