Muhammad Ahmed Haidara Al-Shaqi, head of the Executive Authority for Local Leadership, in the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, chaired this morning, at the council’s headquarters in the capital, Zanzibar, the first annual meeting held by the Presidency of the Executive Authority, and the Political Department of the Local Leadership in the Transitional Council in the governorate, for the heads of local leaders and political administrations in the directorates. To assess the political performance of the local leaders in the districts, and to set the main directions for the requirements of the current stage.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Khaled Al-Abd, Vice-President of the Commission, Mr. Al-Shaqi spoke about the importance of this evaluation meeting, noting that the leadership of the Council in the governorate had been looking forward to holding such meetings in previous periods, but the nature of the circumstances, tasks and the geographical distance of the directorates prevented this that .
Al-Shaqi pointed out, in the context of his speech, that there are efforts being made, and on the other hand, there are shortcomings in some directorates, which are summarized in the irregularity of meetings, sending records and implementing activities.
He stressed the exertion of more efforts in all directorates, and the importance of raising awareness among the citizen and the leading elements in all the frameworks of the Transitional Council bodies in the province that we are still in the stage of struggle and struggle to restore the state, and we must realize the nature of this stage, and be at the forefront of our people to assume responsibilities.
For his part, Mr. Salem Saleh Al Mukhiri, Director of the Political Department, indicated in his opening speech that this meeting is an experiment to evaluate work in the governorate and directorates to know the difficulties, obstacles and challenges in institutional and field work.
Al Mukhiri called on everyone to sense responsibility and work at a high pace, coordinate between the heads of the directorates and take advantage of mistakes, especially as we are on the threshold of a new year.
In their turn, the directors of the organizational department, Mr. Abdullah Barhout, and the director of financial affairs, Mr. Yasser Al-Salahi, stressed the importance of strengthening institutional work within the framework of the council’s bodies in the directorates, and regularity in the process of preparing minutes, quarterly plans, monthly and annual reports, and the exits of meetings and financial liquidations and sending them regularly to the concerned departments in the province
The meeting stressed the importance of submitting plans quarterly and annually for the year 2022, regular reports and evaluation of plans quarterly, attention to women's activity in future plans, and the need for coordination and communication with the women's administration in the governorate and directorates.
The meeting commended what was provided by some women's departments in the directorates of Khanfar, Lauder, Jishan and Al-Wadaya.
The meeting stressed the importance of the necessity of rotation in the local and executive leaders, due to the failure to perform their duties and tasks, and submitting proposals for rotation to the governorate for approval.
The meeting also confirmed the renaming of the schools, as they were before the invasion of 94 AD, and the suspension of the issuance of personal identity cards, except for the people of the province.
