The Department of Women and Children holds a symposium in coordination with the Department of Thought and Guidance on “politicized religious discourse and its impact on women’s access to decision-making positions.”

The Department of Women and Children in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, in coordination with the Department of Thought and Guidance, held, today, Tuesday, in the capital, Aden, a symposium entitled “Politicized Religious Discourse and its Impact on Southern Women’s Access to Decision-Making Center from the Year 90 to the Present Day” under the auspices of President Commander Aidarous  Al-Zubaidi, head of the Southern Transitional Council.
 Professor Fadl Muhammad al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, delivered a speech at the symposium in which he indicated that our Islamic religion is a religion of moderation and moderation in all matters of life, based on human and social principles and values, such as justice, freedom and human rights, away from extremism and extremism that some people use and their exploitation of Islamic law to reach ends.  political.
 Al-Jaadi stressed that women have an effective role in the renaissance of society, as they are no different from men in the importance of their presence and presence in the development of society in all fields, hoping that this symposium will create a serious and fruitful discussion that contributes to empowering women of their rights to enhance their role in society.
 Ms. Ishtiaq Muhammad Saad, Head of the Women and Child Department, started the symposium with a speech in which she welcomed the participation of the Deputy Secretary-General in the opening of the symposium, noting the suffering of southern women during the period after the occupation of the south in 1994 AD, and their exclusion from all fields, stressing the importance of women's awareness and knowledge of their rights that  It is guaranteed by our Islamic religion.
 After that, Sheikh Dr. Omar Hussein Al-Awdhali presented an intervention on women until the advent of Islam, the politicized religious discourse and the role of southern women in decision-making, in which he pointed out how to deal with women before Islam, and how Islam did justice to women after they were oppressed, so it gave them rights and recommended them, and legislated  Canons to save.
 Sheikh Al-Awdhali stressed that women have a great role in our society, as they are the virtuous educator, doctor and engineer, and she is the caretaker of her family in a way that achieves a balance between the energies of this society, and the presence of women next to men is one of the most important motives for the success of society and its development without affecting it anything.
 During the symposium, which was attended by Dr. Bassem Mansour, head of the media department, Dr. Ali Al-Bahr from the Department of Thought and Guidance in the General Secretariat and Sheikh Dr. Omar Al-Awdhali responded to the questions and inquiries raised by the participants in the symposium from educators and teachers of the capital’s schools, which referred in their entirety to the role of  Religious discourse in educating women about their rights and duties in all aspects of their practical and societal life.
