On Sunday, August 7, the Supreme Economic Committee of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting for the month of August, in the capital, Aden, headed by Dr. Muhammad Ali Matash, Chairman of the Committee.

The meeting focused on economic and service developments, ad continuing the implementation of previous assignments, and the committee's activity and its role between the two meetings.

The meeting has discussed the topics included in the committee's plan, including focusing on the water report, which proposed a number of immediate and future treatments, and enhancing food security and activating and assisting  farmers by paying attention to wheat cultivation, to reach self-sufficiency.

The meeting touched on the report prepared by the Transport and Communications Committee regarding to the improvement of services at Aden International Airport and other airports, and put  the necessary proposals about it.
