The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council reviewed in its meeting held on Saturday, chaired by President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Council, the latest military and security situation developments in Shabwa Governorate and the districts of Hadhramout Valley and Desert .
At the beginning of its meeting, the Commission listened to a briefing on the situation in Shabwa Governorate, presented by Presidential Commission member Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, reiterated in this regard its full support for the local authority in the governorate, and its condemnation of the rebel forces in their attempts to destabilize the situation in the districts of Jardan and Arma, and its continued mobilization of its militias from the First Military District and the Yemeni governorate of Ma'rib towards Shabwa, calling on the Presidential Leadership Council to take a decisive position on these militias and stop their mobilization operations towards Shabwa and the Hadramawt Valley areas .
In its meeting, which was attended by a number of Council ministers in the Parity government, the Council stressed the importance of enabling the people of Shabwa Governorate to manage their Governorate affairs in various fields, and their right to benefit from its wealth, secure it, and protect it away from the interference of any political forces.
The Presidency of the traditional council reviewed the situation in the districts of Hadhramout Valley and Desert by Presidential Member Ali Abdullah Al-Kathi, where the Commission expressed its support for the efforts of the leadership of the local authority in Hadhramaut Governorate represented by th governor Mabkhout bin Madi, and supporting his efforts to extend and consolidate security and stability in the areas of Hadhramaut Valley, and to enable the people of the governorate to secure their governorate and manage its politically, security, militarily, and administratively affairs, and reject any attempt to detract from that by imposing decisions that clash with the will of the people of Hadhramaut.
In a separate context, the Presidency reviewed the risks of environmental pollution caused by the structures of delinquent ships in the coasts of the capital Aden, Hadramawt governorates and Socotra. It also listened to the Ministers of Transport, Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries about the measures taken by the two ministries to remove these structures, removing the pollution risks, and sue the owners of those ships for the damages and risks they cause to the marine environment.
