President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Monday, at the presidential palace in Maasheq, the Military Committee which in charge of fact-finding the events in Shabwa governorate last week, headed by the Minister of Defense, Major General Mohsen Al-Dairi.

The President Commander received a detailed report from the Chairman of the Committee , which included the results of the field visit carried out by the Committee to the governorates of Shabwa and Hadramout to meet with all parties and sit with them, and to collect the inferences and the facts which has reached to regarding the unfortunate events that took place in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate last week.

The President was also briefed by the Chairman and members of the Committee on the measures taken by the Committee to remove the causes of tension and restore security and stability to the governorate, praising the Committee’s efforts to convergence of views and remove the causes of tension, stressing the importance of supporting the local authorities in Shabwa Governorate and strengthening their efforts to consolidate security and stability in the governorate .
