On Wednesday, August 24, the President, Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council met the Governor of Lahj Governorate, Major General Ahmed Abdullah Turki.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Security Director of Lahj Governorate, Major General Saleh Al-Sayed, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a brief explanation of the latest developments in Lahj governorate, the work progress of the local authority in it, and the number of difficulties and dilemmas facing it, from The Major General Ahmed Abdullah Turki.

President Al-Zubaidi was also briefed by the Governor Turki on the results of the government team’s visit to Yafa’ districts, and the positive echoes of this visit at the popular level, In the same context, he urged the local authority to coordinate with the government to carry out similar visits to other areas in the governorate to find out their needs and feel the concerns and problems of their people and work to solve them.  

The President Commander stressed the great importance that Lahj Governorate has with the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council, as the strategic depth of the capital, Aden, stressing in the context the need to intensify efforts during the next stage with regard to enhance the economic aspect and infrastructure projects, by providing an attractive environment For investment, especially since Lahj has all the sustainability elements for the success of agricultural and industrial investments.

The President Commander expressed the readiness of the Presidential Leadership Council to provide all aspects of support to the local authority in the governorate, to overcome any difficulties facing its work in order to ensure the achievement of its entrusted tasks, and to make a quantum leap which its impact is directly felt by the citizen in the governorate.

For his part, Governor Turki expressed his thanks and appreciation for the attention paid by President Al-Zubaidi to Lahj governorate, and his constant keenness to know its conditions and solve the problems of its people, stressing the readiness of the local authority in the governorate to mobilize all energies and efforts to advance the governorate conditions and improve it for the best .
