On Wednesday, August 24, President Aidarous Qassem Al -Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, met with His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al -Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and the Management Board of the Social Welfare Fund headed by Najla Al -Sayyad, Executive Director of the Fund.

During the meeting, President Al -Zubaidi was briefed on the work progress in the Social Welfare Fund, and the difficulties facing it, and the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to activate the work of the fund and restore its headquarters in all governorates, expand its work scope and enable it to implement the projects assigned to it .

During the meeting, President Al -Zubaidi directed the Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs and Labor to work with international partners to enable the Social Welfare Fund to play its role , at the forefront of this, the return of the emergency cash remittances project funded by the UNICEF to the Fund, as it is the authority responsible for its implementation .

In his turn, Minister Al-Za'awi expressed his thanks and gratitude for all the efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi to advance state institutions and activate their activities in the service of citizens, praising his role in supporting the Social Welfare Fund to restore its role as a national institution serving millions of citizens from the poorest groups.
