President Commander Aidaros Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President  of the Southern Transitional Council, and Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today in his office in the capital Aden a delegation of the German organization "Borghoff" headed by Mr. Oliver Wells, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Affairs Department, and Dalia Barsoum, Chairman of Yemen unit in the organization .

At the beginning of the meeting, the President Commander welcomed the delegation of the German organization, praising the efforts made by the organization to promote the chances of peace and convergence views , expressing his hope that the organization will play a greater role in supporting the choices of the people of the South in self-determination.

In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi reiterated the position of the Southern Transitional Council in supporting the political process led by the envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, stressing the importance of the participation of the Southern Transitional Council in designing the political process that leads to a comprehensive and sustainable peace in the region.

For his part, the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Affairs Department at the Organization expressed his happiness to meet with President Al-Zubaidi, stressing that the visit of the organization's delegation to the capital Aden comes within the framework of the organization's efforts to understand the view of the Southern Transitional Council to push peace tracks to end the crisis in Yemen, and ways in which to end the crisis in Yemen, through which the organization can support the Council and the rest of the parties to reach joint understandings leading to lasting peace.

Mr. Wells expressed Berghof's readiness to adopt more meetings to convergence views and open serious dialogues in line with the data on the ground.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ali Saif Hassan, Chairman of the Political Development Forum, Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, Political Affairs and Planning Officer at the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, and Imad Mohammed, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council.
