President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met on Monday, August 29, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Technical Education and Vocational Training in the parity government, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Dr. Al-Wasabi on the efforts made to establish the ministry in the capital, Aden, the administrative structure, the job cadre, and the regulations and laws regulating work in the ministry.

President Al-Zubaidi also listened by Minister Al-Wasabi to a detailed explanation of the mechanism approved by the ministry to select the recipients of cultural exchange scholarship, scholarship and financial aid for students studying abroad, and the difficulties the ministry faces in this aspect, and ways to solve them.

The President stressed the need to follow an effective mechanism regarding the selection of those eligible for external scholarship to ensure that outstanding students obtain their right to external scholarship and continue their educational attainment, Fairly, without favoritism .

During the meeting, the President stressed the importance of paying all care and attention to students studying abroad, and coordinating with the relevant authorities to solve all the problems and difficulties they face, foremost of which is handing over their financial dues overdue from previous periods, and working to find a mechanism to ensure that they deliver their dues without delay, and help them continue their educational attainment in the chosen country without any difficulties .

The meeting reviewed a number of issues related to the work of the ministry with regard to its relationship with universities, and conflicts in some powers after the merger of the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in accordance with the requirements of the Riyadh Agreement, and ways to solve them .

At the end of the meeting, Minister Al-Wasabi expressed his thanks and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for his interest in the functioning of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and his keenness to overcome any difficulties in the functioning of the ministry, and to solve the problems facing students studying abroad .
