Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, President of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, received today, on Wednesday, September 7, Ms. Dina Al-Mamoun, the Regional Director of CIVIC .

In the meeting, which included lawyer Niran Souki, a member of the Presidency, Vice President of the National Assembly, Ms. Dina gave an explanation of the activities of (Civic Organization) and discussed ways to support the protection of civilians and develop their capabilities, in addition to raising the awareness of the security and military forces on international humanitarian law and human rights, and training them on How to take the necessary measures during military and security operations to protect civilians and others .

 During the meeting, Major General Bin Brik stressed that the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council is keen to protect civilians, preserve their civil rights, educate and train the security and military forces, and continuously raise their capabilities . 

He pointed out that the southern armed forces and security services are fighting a battle against terrorism and securing the lives of citizens from its multiple dangers and to establish the pillars of security and stability . 

Noting that the treacherous and cowardly terrorist operation that targeted our valiant southern forces yesterday and affected their best sons and leaders in Abyan Governorate, the response to it will be soon and harsh .

 He stressed that we will not remain silent and will not stand idly by in the face of this brutal attack .

The meeting was attended by Brother Fadi Hassan Ba'um, Head of the Political Bureau of the Revolutionary Movement Council, Saqr Manqoush, Program Officer in the Armed Forces, Awad Baabid, Director of Security and Safety, and Brother Salem Jaafar Bin Brik, a leader in the Revolutionary Movement .
