The Southern National Dialogue Team , headed by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, held on Monday, September 12, in the capital, Aden, a meeting with a group of southern journalists and media professionals, within the framework of the team's program of meetings with various southern categories and components.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Saleh Al-Hajj welcomed the attendees from the media and journalists, pointing out that this meeting aims to listen in full transparency to the opinions of media professionals and journalists and discuss their issues, believing in the importance of the media voice and its impact on the dialogue process, stressing that the Southern National Dialogue includes various components, including journalists and media professionals and it discusses a national issue of concern to everyone, and carries the issue of a people and a nation that requires the participation of all southerners in it, far from fanaticism and extremism.
Al-Hajj stressed the importance of the media’s role in the success of the Southern Accord, by raising awareness of the necessity of dialogue and its importance among the citizens, expressing his aspiration that southern media professionals and journalists play a positive role in the current stage to unify the southern ranks, stand up to the challenges facing the people of the south and their legitimate aspirations, and work to unify efforts to get out of the crises that the country is going through with consensus and participation of all.
In the meeting, the Southern National Dialogue team provided a brief explanation of the meetings it held, the path it has taken since its establishment, and what has been accomplished within the framework of its work program, reviewing examples of dialogue experiences in various countries of the world and the results and successes achieved in them, stressing with regard to the media on the importance of unifying the discourse The southern national media and the creation of appropriate media conditions for the success of the dialogue process, pointing to the importance of the national role of the media in working to unify the ranks of southerners, as it conveys the message of a people and a nation, stressing the role of the media in the success of the southern Accord .
