President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met in his office today, Wednesday, September 14, Dr. Al-Khader Lasour, President of the University of Aden.

The President Commander listened from Dr. Al-Khadr, to a full explanation of the work progress at the University of Aden and its faculties in the capital, Aden and other governorates, and a number of issues and topics related to the work of the university, and academic education and ways to advance it. 

The President Commander stressed that the University was and will remain a distinguished academic edifice, by graduating generations of outstanding students and researchers in all fields, stressing in the context the importance of benefiting from the research and innovations that the university abounds with to preserve this national achievement and make an effective impact in society.

The President Commander also urged the university’s leadership to redouble its efforts, in addition to developing academic curricula to keep pace with the accelerating scientific development, as well as intensifying the process of cultural and knowledge communication with prestigious Arab, regional and international universities, and benefiting from their experiences in reviving the scientific research process and developing methods of creativity and innovation.

For his part, Dr. Lasour expressed, on his behalf, and the behalf of the University of Aden Council and all its affiliates, sincere thanks and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for his keenness and constant follow-up to the university’s situation, praising his continuous support for its leadership to advance it administratively and academically.
