On  Saturday, a joint press conference was held in Abyan governorate, which included Major General Fadl Hassan, commander of the Fourth Military District , Major General Abu Bakr Salem, Governor of Abyan Governorate, and Brigadier General Mukhtar Al-Nubi, commander of Abyan axis, commander of the Fifth Brigade and Abyan security director, Brigadier General Ali Al-Dhib Al-Kazmi.
The press conference has dealt with the success of the third phase of Operation Arrows of the East and achieving its full goals, clearing Omaran valley in Mudiyah, killing 24 al-Qaeda elements, seizing equipment and weapons stores, and finding documents in Omaran camp, which is the main den of the organization in the Arabian Peninsula.
The press conference has also announced the start of the fourth phase of Arrows of the East, which is the purification of the rest of the governorate's directorates under the directives of President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces.
The Commander of the Fourth Military District, Major General Fadl Hassan Al-Omari, praised the efforts of the governor of Abyan and the commander of the axis, and the efforts of the people and tribes of Abyan in general for standing by the armed forces in this process.
The Media Center of the Southern Armed Forces (Deraa Al-Ganoob) has questioned about the fact that the fight against terrorism is not limited to the ground forces only, and that the role of military and military aviation in combating terrorism… The governor of Abyan replied that the Arab coalition has provided drone support for the Arrows of the East campaign, stressing that the Arab coalition is waiting from us  to raise our demands in the field of combating terrorism, adding, “We ask for the intervention of warplanes and drones in case of extreme necessity.”
In the press conference, the governor of Abyan confirmed that the southern military forces would remain in the central districts to ensure that terrorist organizations and elements would not return.
The press conference was attended by Brigadier General Ali Al-Koud, director of the administrative base in Aden, Al-Khidr Mazember, director general of the Personnel Affairs Department and General Reserve in the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Ali Nasser Baazeb, Director General of Abyan Security, Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Daeri, Deputy Director of the Financial Department at the Ministry of Defense, and Lieutenant-Colonel Muhammad Al-Naqeeb, spokesman for the southern forces, and a number of the military and civilian leaders .
