President Al-Zubaidi stresses the speedy completion of financial reforms and activating the role of the central bank

On Saturday, October 8, President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mabaqi.
 President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Dr. Al-Mabaqi on the latest developments in the banking and monetary situation and the efforts of the bank’s management to complete the financial reforms to activate the role of the Central Bank, and reform monetary and banking policies to restore confidence in the bank regionally and internationally.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed the speed of completing financial reforms, strengthening supervision over banks, developing work mechanisms in the bank’s sectors, adopting principles of good governance and management, modernizing digital and accounting work in the bank, and rehabilitating its cadres so that they can perform their tasks to the fullest.
He also directed the Governor of the Bank to strengthen the bank’s supervisory role over the exchange companies, in a way that contributes to stabilizing the exchange of the national currency, restoring the currency to its value, and curbing speculators.
For his part, the Governor of the Bank expressed his thanks and gratitude for President Al-Zubaidi in support the bank’s management to perform the tasks entrusted to the bank, and to follow up its efforts aimed at developing the bank and carrying out reforms in its monetary and banking policies.
