President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, and Vice Presidential Leadership Council, met in his office at the council headquarters in the capital, Aden, the General- Director of the Public Corporation for Telecommunications, Engineer Wael Mahmoud Muhammad Tarmoum.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President congratulated the leader, Engineer Tarmoom, for winning the confidence of the Presidential Leadership Council and his appointment as General Director of the Public Corporation for Telecommunications, expressing the aspiration of the leadership of the Council to witness a qualitative leap in the performance of the institution during the coming period. 

After that, the commander listened to Eng. Tarmoom, telling a full explanation of the organization's management plans and programs for the next phase, in addition to the studies it had undertaken to determine its technical, human, and technological needs, he also urged the management of the Corporation to use all available capabilities, and those with experience and competence, and to start internal and external communication channels, to develop the work of the Corporation and improve its services provided to the public.

The commander pointed out that telecom sector has great importance to the Leadership Council,  as it is an essential pillar of the national economy, and an important tributary of the state's public treasury, emphasizing the leadership of the Corporation to make double efforts to speed up the transfer of the communications system from Sana'a to the capital, Aden, and liberating it from the grip of the Houthi militia, which exploits the large revenues of this sector to finance its hostile military activities, As well as using it as an espionage and intelligence way to track down military and security commanders and activists, and to prosecute and liquidate journalists.

The Commander  emphasized the readiness of the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council to provide all aspects of support to the leadership of the Public Telecommunications Corporation to overcome any difficulties that obstruct its work in a manner that ensures the tasks completion that entrusted to it with efficiency.

For his part, Eng. Wael Tarmoum expressed his appreciation for the great interest that President Al-Zubaidi attaches to the telecommunications sector, and his continuous support for the leadership of the Corporation to carry out its national responsibilities,  He affirmed the readiness of all employees of the General Corporation to put their maximum efforts to advance the reality of work and raise it to the desired level.
